In 2011 they installed 3000 sensors in the whole city zone, which collect several datas and radio them to the hubs, gateways. The sensors collect datas about airquality, weather, acoutic level, but also for example they collect datas about where are free and where are occupied parking lots. Since the start of that project Santander accumulated much more ideas and proposals to become n intelligent city. Santander takes effect as a prototype for the inteligent city, where a lot of ideas can be tested, Santander as a city laboratory.
